Riding the Waves

Parenting Our Neurodivergent & Emotionally Intense Children

Are you raising an “old soul”? Do you suspect that your child could argue in front of the Supreme Court? Is "no" their default response? Do you regularly have to anticipate temperature, sound levels, brightness, and/or smells of the places you visit? Do you dread the day that you can no longer find the one brand of pants (socks, etc) your kid will wear?

You are not alone!

These groups are intended for parents of sensitive and emotionally intense school aged children, whether they have a clear neurodivergent (ADHD, Autism, Gifted, etc) label or just experience the world in a more intense way than their peers. Groups for 9-12 year olds will also address issues related to puberty.
