Perinatal Mental Health
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Do you feel like a failure every time someone tells you how wonderful new parenthood is? Do you and your partner find yourselves constantly on edge with one another? You are not alone!
Often, parenting - or at least co-parenting - is not what we thought it would be. While this is sometimes due to hormones, postpartum depression, or postpartum anxiety, many - if not most - people are challenged by the new responsibilities and feelings that parenting brings.
I support birthing parents & co-parents through the adjustments of pregnancy and new parenthood utilizing cognitive & relational therapies.
Perinatal Trauma
“All that matters is a healthy baby” is a painful myth. Difficult and disappointing experiences during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum can resonate with us long after birth, and may bring back frightening and painful incidences from the past as well. Often we find ourselves on edge and crippled with self-doubt. Utilizing cognitive and somatic methods, we will work together to release painful memories.

Fertility & Perinatal Grief
Prolonged fertility journeys can be profoundly lonely. Often couples have experienced unexpected and devastating ends to pregnancies - miscarriage, late term loss, or infant loss - which can be difficult to share and to process. At these times, we need validation and support much more than advice or platitudes. I offer a place to integrate your loss and regain faith & hope.
